Life Update: We're Moving House!

Tuesday, 1 December 2020 Bath, UK

I can’t believe that I am writing this. It has been a dream of ours to own our own home since before we were married, and I am so excited that it is happening.

It’s been a whirlwind of excitement and disappointment and excitement again, along with a whole bunch of paperwork and bank statements, but that is (mostly) behind us, as we completed this morning!

I’m going to write a post about how we did it, because a year ago it seemed impossible that this one income family could ever become homeowners, but thanks to Generation Home, we officially are. PINCH ME!

But for now, I just wanted to be excited with you, and explain the details later.

We’re not moving far, just 18 minutes down the road to be exact to a little village outside Bath where the majority of our Bath based friends are. The house we’ve bought (pinch me, that sentence doesn’t feel real!) is already in a great state, however we are enthusiastic about redecorating and (finally) being able to put our own stamp on a property. It will be a slow and steady process and we can’t wait.

So wish us luck, for now the job of packing and sorting and organising continues, as we say prepare to say goodbye to the little bungalow we brought Nova home to, whilst getting ready to say hello to a brand new adventure.

  1. The ideal rug size depends on the bedroom and bed size. When placed underneath the bed, the rug should extend a minimum of 2 feet beyond each edge. Learn more info from
