A Festive Day Out in Bath | City Guide

Friday, 6 December 2019

Peter had one day's holiday left to use before the end of the year, and so we decided it would be a great opportunity to go into Bath for a festive day out.

We started our day by exploring the markets... of course! There are over 150 stalls this year full of creative, independent businesses. Some of my favourites included: Sleepy Doe, Pollyfields & Meticulous Ink!

Next, we headed to the beautiful Pultney Bridge. It's one of our favourite bits of Bath to explore and home to the most beautiful flower stall!

Time for a quick lunch... so I finally took Peter to Sally Lunn's - home to the famous Bath Bun! Such a lovely traditional atmosphere and the most amazing food. A staple of Bath culture and a must-do for every one spending a day in the city!

After lunch we popped into the Abbey. You can't have a Christmassy day out without going inside! It is such a beautiful building inside and out, full of character.

To finish our festive day we went to our very favourite place in Bath, Alexandra Park. You can look out across the whole city and it is the most beautiful view for a wintery walk.

And then we headed home for a Christmas movie and some hot chocolate and it was AMAZING. This time of year is so special and we really did have a lovely day. Let me know what Christmassy things you got up to this year!
